I made a very simple “golden days” card for autumn – another one with faux calligraphy!
Handlettering is always so beautiful but it can be very intimidating… so I am easing myself in with some faux calligraphy. It is really addictive & a lot of fun. Bonus: it is super easy to get some decent looking results! I totally recommend trying it if you like to marvel at handlettered signs.
For this card I used a cutting dies set from Xcut and a Staedler pigment liner. For the faux calligraphy look just thicken the lines on any downward stroke – that’s all. It really is that simple. I will definitely practice “real” calligraphy and handlettering, but in the meantime I will use this simple method a lot.
